Introduction
The Pro DunkŪ Silver height-adjustable, in-ground basketball goal uses a huge 60" x 36" x 1/2" (no
backboard is thicker!) clear acrylic backboard and can be easily adjusted from 5' to 10' (no goal
available goes lower!). The backboard
is attached to a thick (7 gauge) 4" square one piece pole. You'll can also take advantage of the
superior professional grade break-away rim. The huge backboard, thick pole and college break-away rim
work together to make this system play great and look like an impressive professional system.
Big Clear Backboard at a Great Price
If the Pro Dunk® Gold doesn't fit your budget or you will not have elite players dunking at low heights
(don't need the added inch in pole size), this basketball goal might be your answer. It has the biggest
backboard at the lowest cost in our high end residential Pro Dunk® line.
Height Adjustability
This basketball goal is infinitely height adjustable from 5' feet (no goal available goes lower!) in
rim height to a regulation 10'. When installed the height meter is custom set for your playing
surface to ensure the height of your basketball system is precise unlike several competitor
basketball systems. Height adjustment with our spring balanced lift assist mechanism is so
effortless to adjust that a 5 year old child can easily and safely raise and lower the basketball
system. Also, the crank is mounted at a low height that young players can easily access.

Backboard
The 60" acrylic backboard looks great and plays wonderfully because of the board's thickness
(1/2" - thicker than most competitors) and the beefed up frame. The frame is made from high quality
aluminum metal which is supported with a 3/8" "L" supports at the corners for added stability. This
beefed up frame and 1/2 inch acrylics sets our acrylic backboard apart from the competition. To

Installation
The installation of this height-adjustable, in-ground basketball goal is one of the easiest and
safest on the market. The exceptional engineering along with our 20 years of installation experience
ensure you will be successful. Eight main bolts are all that is required to complete the installation.
We have preinstalled the "H" bracket and backboard padding for you reducing your installation time by
20%! The backboard and rim can be installed at chest height without the use of ladders by lowering the
arms to 5'. We have also implemented an innovative pier system (view demonstration)
that makes leveling a cinch and portability an easy possibility. See the

Durability
This hoop was designed to hold up in brutal weather conditions. It takes advantage of a durable powder coat
finish (learn about
powder coating) that resists scratches and keeps corrosives away from the steel. We also use
stainless steel fasteners to reduce rusting. You will not have to worry about ugly rust streaks or
weakening bolts (view example). You will also see a tremendous amount of rigidity from the thick one-piece 7 gauge pole.
The professional quality break-away rim will hold up to dunking and hanging unlike flimsily static alternatives.
FREE Padding!
Backboard, pole and gusset padding is included with this system. Each piece is built using our exclusive
molding process that incorporates a steel insert which gives strength at all mounting locations
(fasteners can not pull out). The excellent water resistant urethane skinned surface and high density
urethane foam gives superior durability and protection for young and elite players.
Lifetime Warranty
This system is backed by our limited lifetime warranty as all Pro Dunk® basketball systems
are. We are confident you will find your hoop to be durable, long lasting and

Stainless Steel Fasteners
Pro Dunk® basketball goals are one of the few that include stainless steel fasteners.
Other systems use regular steel which is prone to rusting which could weaken bolts
over time (
view diagram). Also, stainless steel bolts ensure you can easily disassemble your system when moving without worrying about corroded bolts seizing up.

One Piece 7 Gauge Square Pole
Many lower quality systems will use a two-piece pole and lighter steel. Pro Dunk®
systems use a thick (7 gauge) one-piece pole for superior rigidity and durability.
Aluminum Backboard Frame
Steel backboard frames used by many manufacturers are prone to rusting
unlike the rust-roof aluminum frames used on Pro Dunk® systems.
Clean and Professional Look
Other goals have many logos and markings which many believe makes it look cheap and tacky.
Pro Dunk® systems have one discrete sticker on the arm which does not take away from the
class of the system.
Flexible Adjustability
If you have small children you'll be glad to hear that Pro Dunk® systems will adjust to
as low as 5 feet. Other systems will usually go no lower than 7.5 feet!
Padding
Hoops wants its customers to be safe so we include a full padding set with every Pro
Dunk system. Other companies will usually charge extra for their padding.
Heavy-Duty Acrylic Backboard
Acrylic backboards are softer than tempered glass making it important to use
a full 1/2 inch thick board rather than the thinner 3/8 inch thick boards the
other guys use.
Pier Based System
Some hoops are designed to be installed directly into the ground. Pro Dunk® goals
use a pier system which makes it easy to move your goal when you move (
view demonstration).
This is a comparison between the Pro Dunk Diamond and other 8 inch pole systems. These 8 inch systems
are the upper echelon of the residential basketball goal market. They are the biggest goals you can buy and
we have pitted them against each other to crown a victor.
1st Period: Durability
Extension Arm Rigidity
As seen in the diagram below, the Pro DunkŪ Diamond effectively has a 15 inch wide extension arm. The
other system has 4 inch wide extension arm. The wider arm gives the Pro
DunkŪ Diamond a big stability advantage over the smaller arm of the other basketball goal.
Support Where It Counts
80% of all backboard shots hit right around or in the shooter's square(view demonstration). The Pro DunkŪ Diamond uses an "H" bracket
that adds support right at this point. This is also where all four extension arms attach to the system.
Other 8 inch systems use wide out-stretching arms that attach to the backboards outer edges which does not add
any support to the shooter's square.
2nd Period: Aesthetics
Rust
The Pro DunkŪ Diamond uses stainless steel fasteners to make the system more durable and reduce ugly rust streaks.
Other 8 inch systems do not use stainless steel fasters. Other also use a steel backboard frame which can leave
nasty rust streaks down your backboard whereas the Pro DunkŪ Diamond uses an aluminum (does not rust) backboard frame.
Also, it should be noted that paint and rusting on most other systems are not warranted.
Obtrusive
Many believe that the other 8 inch basketball systems are more obtrusive and overbearing than the Pro
DunkŪ Diamond. Since many systems have arms that jet out to the far edges of the backboard this is an
understandable claim. The Pro DunkŪ Diamond uses a smaller form factor arm system and has no markings or
logos on the backboard or padding which many believe makes it look more professional and less tacky.
3rd Period: Features
Adjustability
Most systems will not adjust below 7 feet. If you have small children and want to
get the most out of your system you'll need a hoop that will adjust lower. The Pro DunkŪ Diamond will adjust all
the way down to 6 feet.
Regulation
The biggest difference is the overhang distance. The regulation distance from the baseline
to the front of the backboard is 4 feet. Since other systems have a 4 foot
overhang, the pole, base and padding will be in your regulation playing area! The Pro DunkŪ Diamond has
a 5 foot overhang allowing you to keep the pole completely out of your regulation playing area.
4th Period: Dunking
Most other 8 inch basketball systems do NOT warrant dunking and hanging on the rim. If you
hang on the rim, your warranty will be voided. Most systems were not designed for dunking and hanging. The Pro
DunkŪ Diamond is fully warranted against dunking and hanging on the rim.
The clear victor is the Pro DunkŪ Diamond with its long stable extension arm, lower adjustability, stainless steel
fasteners and warranted dunking/hanging.
